Who we are looking for
Young women of African heritage, 18 to 30, living in Austria — in Vienna and beyond. Singers and dancers. Entrepreneurs and innovators. Designers, artists, photographers. Speakers and poets. Students and professionals. Community leaders, content creators, chefs, STEM enthusiasts. No stage experience required.

What you gain

Participants receive a prize package including scholarships and mentoring — plus the title of AfriVision Community Ambassador.
What it costs
Nothing. Participation is free. Travel support is available for participants coming from outside Vienna.
A programme, not an evening.
AfriVision runs in three phases across autumn 2026.
Leadership & Empowerment
An intensive programme end of October 2026: identity and personal development, leadership, storytelling, personal branding, public speaking, career and entrepreneurship. Interactive training, not lectures — you work on your own project with mentors. Follow-up sessions continue after the gala.
The Talent & Culture Gala
On 7 November 2026 in Vienna. Each participant presents her leadership journey and her talent — music, poetry, visual art, fashion, hair artistry, craft, cuisine, a business pitch, a community project, a technology demo. Talent is defined broadly and deliberately.
Community Ambassador
From December 2026 to June 2027, selected participants continue as AfriVision Community Ambassadors: mentoring, school visits, workshops and community projects. The programme's point is what happens after the stage lights go down.
Partner with AfriVision
Reach the African diaspora in Austria, support women's leadership and cultural participation, and put your name behind something that lasts beyond one evening. Partnerships from €500 to €3,000, plus in-kind and thematic partnerships.

An evening of talent, leadership and culture: each participant presents her journey and her talent — before an expected 250+ guests from the community, business and the cultural scene.

Does it cost anything?
No. Applying and taking part are free. Travel support is available for participants from outside Vienna.
How much time does it take?
The intensive workshop programme end of October 2026, the gala on 7 November 2026 — and if you continue as an Ambassador afterwards, as much as you want to give.
Which language?
The application works in German or English — use whichever is closer to you.
Do I need to be a performer?
No. Talent is defined broadly on purpose — a business pitch, a tech demo, cuisine or a community project count just as much as music or poetry. No stage experience required.
What do I prepare for the application?
Nothing big: about five minutes of time, your talent in a few sentences, your motivation. A photo is optional.
